Ootyultra’s commitments towards The Nilgiris
- OOTYULTRA is committed to giving back to the community by supporting the Nilgiris District initiatives related to promoting sports, sports-related tourism and sustainability
- A cheque for Rs 1,00,000 (~ 1360 USD, 2016) was handed over to the Collector of Nilgiris, Ms Innocent Divya, IAS, on 17-Aug-2021 from the money raised through OOTYULTRA.
- The goal for 2023 is to raise an additional INR 1,00,000
- In 2023, OOTYULTRA will work with the Kenthorai Youth Association to develop exercise & playing infrastructure in the Kenthorai Village – right at the OOTYULTRA race route. More details will be shared in the coming weeks.
- Since 2018, OOTYULTRA has hosted over 2000 runners from 25 different Indian states and a few foreign countries.
- The 6th edition of Ootyultra is scheduled for the 2-Apr-2023, Sunday

#OOTYULTRA 2022: In its 5th edition of OOTYULTRA, sixty runners contributed an amount of Rs. 30,000 through Charity tickets, and eleven runners contributed Rs. 4999 in addition. For the first time, KaysFIT Academy will add Rs. 30,000/- to match the Charity tickets contribution. Rs. 64,999/- will be set aside for contributions to Nilgiris District initiatives. #OOTYULTRA 2023: In the 6th edition of OOTYULTRA, KaysFIT Academy has collaborated with Rotary OOTACAMUND as its Partner In service and identified the Kenthorai Park Project – a community initiative to build a play park for the village residents including women and children. This project cost is estimated to be Rs. 6,00,000 and KaysFIT Academy has pledged Rs. 1,00,000 contribution. This project will be overseen and executed by Rotary OOTACAMUND. On 13-Apr-2023, the park foundation stone will be laid.
